Smriti Mandhana wedding with Palash Muchhal Called off

Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana shocked fans by officially announcing that her wedding with music composer Palash Muchhal has been called off. After days of rumours and confusion, Smriti confirmed the separation on social media, requesting privacy and choosing not to reveal personal details. Palash also shared a statement, but the news has left fans heartbroken and searching for answers.

The wedding was originally scheduled for November 23, 2025. But on the morning of the ceremony, a sudden medical emergency changed everything.
Smriti’s father, Shriniwas Mandhana, suffered a serious health scare with symptoms pointing to a heart-related issue. Doctors said the collapse could have been caused by extreme physical and emotional stress due to the wedding preparations. He was rushed to the hospital, and the families decided to postpone the ceremony.

Soon after, Palash Muchhal was also briefly hospitalised with stress and exhaustion. With both families dealing with medical emergencies, the wedding was put on hold indefinitely.

While health issues were the official reason for the delay, the situation quickly became complicated. Social media soon filled with unverified claims about Palash’s personal conduct. There were allegations of infidelity and inappropriate online behaviour, which Palash and his family strongly denied, even threatening legal action against those spreading false claims.

Fans became more suspicious when Smriti and many of her close friends deleted all pre-wedding photos and videos from their social media accounts. This move intensified the belief that deeper issues existed beyond the health scares.

Finally, both Smriti and Palash released statements confirming the wedding was cancelled. Smriti emphasised her need for privacy and said she wanted to return her focus to cricket, her ‘higher purpose’.
Palash, on the other hand, said he was ‘moving on’ and condemned the rumours that added pressure during an already difficult time.

The two met through mutual friends in 2019 and kept their relationship private for years. They confirmed their relationship only in 2024 and got engaged soon after. Sadly, what was meant to be a joyful celebration ended suddenly and publicly, marking a heartbreaking end to their journey.
