UPSC Result 2024: A total of 1,009 candidates have been chosen for appointments to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and various Central Services under Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 today, April 22. Candidates who appeared for the exam can view their results on the official website, upsc.gov.in. The list includes names of those selected for top roles like IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and other Group A and B services.
A total of 1,009 candidates have been chosen for appointments to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and several other Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ Central Services, with selections made across various categories. The 2024 UPSC CSE process included the Preliminary Exam on June 16, the Mains from September 20 to 29, and interviews held between January 7 and April 17, 2025.
The recruitment process consists of three main stages: the Preliminary Examination, the Main Examination, and the Personality Test (Interview). The final merit list is prepared based on candidates’ performance across all stages. Currently, the selection of 241 candidates is provisional, and one candidate’s result has been withheld. By category, 335 candidates are from the General category, 318 from OBC, and 87 from SC.
