Rapper Drake places a $750K bet on Virat Kohli’s RCB to win the IPL 2025 final, saying “Ee Sala Cup Namde” (This time, the cup is ours).
Drake is once again making headlines in the cricket world, and this time he’s showing big support for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. A year after surprising everyone with his first IPL bet, the Canadian rapper has now bet a huge $750,000 on RCB to win the 2025 IPL final against Punjab Kings.
The Grammy-winning singer shared his new bet on Instagram, just like he did for last year’s IPL final. He uploaded a screenshot showing how much he bet and included the famous team slogan, “Ee sala cup namde,” which means “This year, the cup is ours” in Kannada. He also tagged Stake, the crypto sports betting site he’s been supporting since 2022.
If RCB wins the final, Drake could get $1,312,500. His bet comes at a time when fans are cheering for the team to finally win their first IPL title.
In 2024, Drake became popular online for making his first-ever cricket bet on Kolkata Knight Riders in the final against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He had posted “Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo,” the team’s slogan, on Instagram. That bet worked out well—KKR won the match, breaking the so-called “Drake Curse” that people often mention when he supports a team.
