Famous Hollywood director Martin Scorsese is also the Executive Producer of Homebound.
The story of Homebound is about two friends from a village in North India. They dream of becoming police officers to gain the respect they desire. However, as their struggle becomes harder, their friendship is tested by growing desperation.
Homebound follows the style of classic Bollywood social dramas, with strong political messages that are clearly spoken. But what makes it special is the natural and emotional way the main actors perform. Some of the dialogue is direct, while other parts reveal deeper meanings slowly. For example, Chandan is hesitant to share his full name because he fears being judged for his social background.
